Here at the Erewash Partnership we can offer help to local businesses.  We have a team of experienced business advisors who are on hand to give free, impartial and confidential advice for both pre-start and existing businesses.

Advice sessions take place in both Ilkeston and Long Eaton and are by appointment only.

We can provide local information, property guides, lease advice and signposting to other relevant organisations and businesses.

Golden Hello Grant

The aim of this scheme is to support and encourage the occupation of vacant retail premises, by new and growing businesses, into Ilkeston, Sandiacre and Long Eaton town centres. 
The scheme helps the regeneration of the town centres and hopes to improve the range and quality of goods and services on offer for both local residents and those visiting our towns.
The grant is available now and will continue until either all the funding is allocated, or 31st March 2020.  You can apply up until 31 days from the date you begin trading in a new premise.
How much are you able to apply for?
Businesses starting, expanding, or re-locating in Ilkeston, Sandiacre or Long Eaton are able to apply for a maximum grant of £1000. How you propose to use the funding to progress your business should be detailed in your application form. If your application is successful, you will also receive £250 worth of extra support from the Erewash Partnership. Please note that businesses which have an outstanding business rate liability cannot be supported through this scheme.

What happens when I submit my application?
When we receive your application, it will firstly be assessed to make sure that it is eligible, and what you are proposing will help establish your business in our town centres, and enhance the quality of goods and services available to customers. You will then be invited for a meeting with our business advisor to discuss the application before it is submitted to the Economic Development panel for consideration. The decision made by the panel is final. We aim to consider all applications within 28 days. The panel may request more information from you to consider your application and approval of the grant does not give you permission to change the structure of your premises without planning approval. Payment of the grant
Upon receiving notice of a successful application, the first £500 payment will be made. A business adviser will arrange a meeting with you before the end of the 10 week period and the final £500 will be paid after this meeting.
