Lighting-up a festive Long Eaton

Join us for an evening of festive fun, seasonal sights and unmissable free family entertainment when Long Eaton’s big Christmas Lights ‘switch-on’ event is held on Thursday 28 November.
The event will take place in and around the Market Place from 5.30pm to 8.30pm with the
Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Sue Beardsley, officially launching the Christmas season by switching on the lights at 7pm.
Erewash Borough Council has once again lined up an evening of festive treats to guarantee a fabulous night for everyone to enjoy.
Browse amongst the charity stalls on High Street and the Market Place from 5pm and wave at the stilt walkers who will be mingling with the crowds. Traditional entertainment will be on offer with performances by the Long Eaton Silver Prize band, the singer Trevvy and a family fun-fair will bring a seasonal flavour to the town.
Dovedale Primary School pupils will be taking part in a colourful lantern parade procession from Long Eaton Town Hall arriving at the Market Place at 6.30pm.
